From a young age John’s dad who was a Sydney trades person, had him getting into overalls, roll up his sleeves to paint & transform his dad’s rental property’s on weekends to make some pocket money.Good old hard labour included gardening,paving,stripping kitchens and bathrooms to transform the look and feel of not only some family property but also some of john’s dad’s clients.At the ripe age of 19 John joined his fathers painting and decorating company full time but this was not his real calling or passion.
John’s own property journey started at the ripe age of 21 when he saved his pocket money and invested in his first rental property in the Sydney suburb of Kensington. He saw the potential in property investing and entered the real estate industry as an apprentice in 1991.He further educated himself by participating in a 3 year part time real estate licensing course whilst working full time in the industry and was awarded the full real estate license under the supervision of his then mentor who owned his own portfolio of over 30 inner city properties that John managed for him.
Recipient of numerous agency awards including leasing, business development & property management within several major franchise groups John’s passion and desire to succeed did not stop there.John was appointed as a team leader in Australia’s first ever publicly listed property management company that had 14,000 investment properties under management in 3 different states.He was licensee in charge of one of the Sydney based branch offices.A former state and national property management consultant and skills trainer to the largest real estate franchise group in Australasia, with experience in the challenges of start up through to large scale business multi hub operations.
